Enjoy a relaxing and creative pottery workshop in Paros, hosted in an artistic setting by the sea on Golden Beach. This experience is designed for all skill levels, whether it is your first time touching clay or you simply want a mindful, hands-on activity during your trip.
You will explore two approaches to pottery. First, you will practice wheel throwing with traditional ceramic clay, focusing on technique and learning how clay behaves on the wheel. You will work through the core fundamentals, centering the clay, opening the form, and pulling up the walls, with step-by-step guidance throughout.
Next, you will create a decorative hand-built piece using oven-bake clay. You can shape your piece using slab techniques, coils, molds, or freehand sculpting, then decorate it with paints and transfers and finish it with a protective sealer. Because this material can be cured in a standard oven, you can take your finished creation home the same day as a keepsake from Paros.
Since the workshop is by the sea, you are welcome to come in swimwear and take quick dips in the water whenever you like throughout the class.
This workshop runs twice per day, with a mid-morning class and an early evening class, and one free drink is included (coffee or glass of wine).
