Pottery Workshop, Paros: Create with Clay by the Sea

Enjoy a relaxing and creative pottery workshop by the sea on Golden Beach, Paros. This 3-hour experience is designed for beginners, couples, families, friends, and anyone looking for a hands-on artistic activity during their trip.

During the workshop, you will explore the basic stages of working with clay. First, you will try wheel throwing with traditional ceramic clay, learning how to center the clay, open the form, and shape a simple vessel with step-by-step guidance. This part is focused on learning, technique, and the feeling of working on the pottery wheel.

You will also practice simple hand-building methods, such as shaping, pressing, and forming clay by hand. These exercises help you understand how clay behaves and give you a playful introduction to the craft.

Because proper ceramic firing and finishing take longer than a short travel workshop allows, the practice pieces made on the wheel and by hand are not fired or taken home.

For your same-day keepsake, you will paint and decorate a pre-made magnet or hanging ornament inspired by Paros, the sea, and your own creativity. This decorative piece is yours to take home at the end of the class.

The workshop takes place in a relaxed seaside setting, and one free drink is included: coffee or a glass of wine. Since the class is only steps away from the beach, we include a short, optional mid-class swim break. Guests who wish can take a quick dip at Golden Beach’s waters before returning to continue the creative part of the class.

Private classes, special group requests, and villa pottery experiences can also be arranged on request, subject to space, access, and availability.
